The classification of the population by age in America uses commonly accepted generations such as Gen-X and Millenial. These generations typically have 15 year time spans. I suggest that groupings of Americans in 10 year age ranges is more accurate, as it more closely aligns with common cultural experiences. Both a 5 year old and a 15 year old will be able to remember major world events and popular culture, whereas a 2 year old and a 17 year old will have vastly different memories. The map and chart below show the number of residents per 1000 in each county of New Jersey.
